KML in the North
The Geophysical Institute and Arctic Region Supercomputing Center are hosting a one day symposium dedicated to demonstrating and teaching about the use of Keyhole Markup Language (KML) by researchers at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. KML is the language used to display geospatial data in Google Earth and many other geobrowsers.

- 9 AM–1 PM
- Presentations by UAF researchers using KML to visualize their geospatial datasets. See Schedule
- 1–3 PM
- Lunch and open forum to ask questions, seek advice from KML experts, including a member of the Google Geo-team.
- 3–5 PM
- Hands on workshop, targeted towards beginners but open to all those wishing to improve their knowledge of KML. Attendees should bring their own wireless-capable laptop
All events will take place in the Globe Room at the Geopphysical Institute.
